Its spacious 460mm diameter family space boasts a robust, rust-proofed steel frame, complemented by a water-resistant roof liner. Complete with a predator defence tunnel and adorned with an appealing natural material finish, the dome is not just practical but aesthetically pleasing.
Ideal for placement in a serene location sheltered from prevailing winds, this hedgehog house thrives in areas with nearby vegetation cover, providing a natural habitat for these adorable creatures. Optimal spots include sections of the garden rich in slugs, offering a readily available food source.
To enhance insulation, cover the dome with twigs, leaves, and brushwood (at least +50mm thick). Inside, spread some leaves or short grass for added comfort. During winter hibernation, ensure the dome home is snugly covered with dry leaves and brushwood to provide extra warmth and protection.
