RHS Award of Garden Merit

The Damson Merryweather Bush Fruit Tree (Prunus 'Merryweather') is a classic British favourite, prized for its reliable heavy crops of large blue-black fruits with firm, yellow flesh and a relatively sweet flavour. Originating from Nottingham in 1907, this versatile variety is excellent for both eating fresh and using in jams, chutneys, and desserts. Self-fertile and attractive to pollinators, it’s an easy and rewarding choice for any garden or orchard. Supplied in a 12L pot at around 150cm tall, this hardy tree will grow to an ultimate height of around 3.5m with a 2m spread and produces abundant fruit from September.
