The Forest Garden 6ft Decibel Noise Reduction Fence Panel is a smart, good-looking solution for cutting down unwanted noise in your garden. Designed with performance in mind, this innovative panel uses tightly interlocking 17mm thick section boards with extended tongue and groove joints, all mounted within a rebated frame. This helps prevent gaps from forming over time, reducing the paths that sound can travel through and improving overall noise reduction.
Each board is made using Triform technology, giving it a triangular profile on both sides of the panel. This clever design helps break up and diffuse sound waves as they hit multiple surfaces. Independent testing has shown the panel can reduce noise levels by up to 30 decibels, roughly the difference between the sound of a petrol lawnmower and normal conversation. Alongside its practical benefits, the panel has a clean, attractive finish that works well in almost any garden setting.
For best results, panels should be fitted tightly to posts with no gaps, either using slotted timber or concrete posts, or by fixing directly to posts. Mounting on gravel boards to take the fence height above 2 metres can further improve noise reduction.
