The Apple James Grieve Bush Fruit Tree (Malus ‘James Grieve’) is a deservedly popular variety, first cultivated in Edinburgh in 1893. Its attractive pale green fruit with red flush stripes reveals creamy white, crisp, and juicy flesh with a refreshing flavour. A reliable cropper, this self-fertile tree is perfect for smaller gardens and ideal for those who enjoy homegrown fruit. The James Grieve apple is particularly well-suited to a cheese board, offering a delightful balance of sweetness and acidity. Attractive to pollinators, it produces a generous harvest from September and grows to an ultimate height of around 3.5m with a 2m spread.
