This Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' is a captivating deciduous shrub. Also known as the Smokebush, it will grace your landscape with striking deep purple foliage. In the summer its unique fluffy pinkish purple plumes emerge resembling billowing clouds of smoke. 'Royal Purple' thrives in well drained soil and full sun adding drama to your garden with its rich colour and intriguing texture. Low maintenance and drought tolerant once established minimal pruning is needed often done in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth year after year.
