The Fagus sylvatica ‘Purple Fountain’ is a small and narrow upright weeping purple tree. The leaves on the young shoots are strikingly red, the limbs droop down loosely. The tree is usually used as a single specimen or focal point but due to its narrow shape, it can be used in tighter spaces than most other weeping beech trees. Plant in a full sun position for the best leaf colour.
