The Betula utilis var. jacuemontii ‘Grayswood Ghost’ is a tree of medium stature. This is a selection from Betula jacquemontii which has the purest white bark. Hillier Nurseries pioneered the grafting of Betula jacquemontii to give consistent bark colour. The leaves are a good green colour which turns to a lovely yellow in autumn. Yellow and brown catkins are also produced which adds additional interest. This tree is a very successful clone.
