Prunus x subhirtella ‘Autumnalis Rosea’, commonly known as Winter-Flowering Cherry, is a small deciduous tree celebrated for its unique and delightful feature of blossoming during the winter months. This ornamental cherry, a hybrid of Japanese flowering cherry species, adds a touch of enchantment to the colder seasons.

Throughout the winter, when many other trees are dormant, the Winter-Flowering Cherry graces the landscape with its semi-double to double pale pink blossoms. The flowers emerge on bare branches, creating a picturesque scene against the winter sky. It brings unexpected beauty to gardens and landscapes during a time when floral displays are typically scarce.

It could be said that it is more spectacular in flower than the off-white ‘Autumnalis’, and also stronger growing. Also produced as a multi-stem.
