Prunus padus ‘Watereri’ is a medium-sized cultivar of our native Bird Cherry. This deciduous tree, also known as ‘Bird Cherry Watereri’, is very vigorous growing with a broad head.

In spring, ‘Watereri’ adorns itself with pendulous clusters of fragrant white flowers. These attract pollinators and lend a charming elegance to the tree. As the season progresses, the blooms give way to small black fruits. The foliage of ‘Watereri’ is characterised by dark green, finely serrated leaves that provide a lovely backdrop throughout the season. In autumn, leaves take on warm hues of yellow, creating a vibrant display before they drop.

This cultivar is prized for its medium size, making it a great tree for planting in parklands. Its rounded shape and attractive flowers contribute to its versatility, while its hardiness and adaptability to various soil types enhance its appeal.
