Self-Fertile Female. A hardy, evergreen shrub has purple young shoots and the leaves are almost spineless, glossy dark green. Small, dull white flowers are produced in summer followed by large, bright red berries from autumn. Great in a mixed border, a stand alone specimen or as a hedge.
