The evergreen shrub Camellia japonica 'Dahlonega' boasts an abundance of striking white, semi double flowers with golden stamens, creating timeless charm in any garden or outdoor space. 'Dahlonega' thrives in partial to full shade, making it an excellent choice for shaded landscape areas. Its low maintenance nature welcomes gardeners of all levels. When planting, select a shaded location with well-drained acidic soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging. Apply mulch for moisture retention, prune after flowering for desired shape and provide protection from harsh winter winds.
