How To Apply
We have a yearly intake for our apprenticeships. Check back in early summer for details on how to apply.
Our Hillier apprentices have gone on to have fulfilling careers, both within Hillier and beyond. But don’t just take our word for it – read what some of our previous apprentices have said about the scheme:
“Having an apprenticeship has relieved all the stress of exams that I experienced at college. I am able to work continuously on units and creative pieces of work to gain a qualification. Being an apprentice means that I am also able to work on gaining qualifications while earning and gaining on the job training and skills. Although I am gaining a qualification relevant to my job role, it has given me plenty of life skills and training that will benefit me in everyday life. Being on an apprenticeship isn’t just part of a job role for me, it has helped me develop me as a person and given me much more confidence.
“For me, apprenticeships are the way forward to help build individuals and to give them necessary life skills and qualifications to succeed in the future.”
“Apprenticeships have helped me massively with my confidence levels and my development. It has given me the confidence to grow as a person and to reach outside of my comfort zone. I am now part of a team and perform a number of different job roles and have numerous responsibilities. My apprenticeship has given me the confidence to try new things and to expand my knowledge.
“Nearly every day I learn something new and that is the part of my job that i love the most!”
Assistant Section Leader, Wholesale Nursery
“Looking for apprenticeships enabled me to look at different career paths that I had not before considered. I was able to join an apprenticeship programme and learn skills on the job. I have been working on the nursery for 9 months and have progressed to running my own department, while my friends are still at Uni, I am earning and learning valuable skills which has led to great career progression.”
