Job Description
Due to internal promotion we have a vacancy for a Garden Centre Manager at our Banbury Garden Centre

As Manager you will be responsible for the overall running of the garden centre and coffee shop, with the objectives of maximizing sales and profit.
You will have a sound commercial outlook, making decisions that will maximise sales and profitability.
You will be a skilled and experienced retailer, with an eye for detail ensuring that store standards of presentation and display are maintained within Hillier visual guidelines.
You will be a good man manager, able to motivate, direct and inspire an enthusiastic team that will provide the high level of customer care and service that Hillier customers expect.
Because of the compact nature of the centre, careful space and stock management is essential. Strategic organisation of stock, accurate buying and careful stock control is required to maximise profitability
This store has great potential; 5 minutes walk from Banbury Town Centre, and only 10 minutes drive from the M40, make it easily accessible to a wide customer base.

Job Description
Hillier Nurseries, the leading hardy nursery stock producer in the UK, is seeking an Amenity Sales Account Manager to expand its successful and dedicated team to develop sales to Central and North England/Scotland.

You will have proven experience in the amenity tree sales field, be highly motivated and able to meet and exceed challenging sales targets.

You will have an in depth knowledge of trees and shrubs, good communication and negotiating skills and a high level of computer literacy.

You will be as able to work on your own as you are as part of a professional and ambitious team.

Outstanding customer service is required to develop and maintain customer relationships.

Time management will be a priority. You will have the ability to complete quotes, tenders and negotiations to achieve the required level of profitability.

Although this position will be home based, you will be required to attend meetings at Head Office, Romsey, Hampshire on a monthly basis, or as required.
