We are currently seeking a Shop Manager at our Hemel Hempstead Garden Centre. The ideal candidate will be an experienced retailer with a passion for customer service, a flair for visual merchandising and display and be able to lead and develop a knowledgeable and busy, customer service based team.

You will be responsible for the Garden Shop, Leisure and Giftware departments, leading and motivating your team, maintain stock to achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets.

The Tills and Customer Service Desk will also be your responsibility as part of the Management Team, providing excellent service and advice to our customers. You will be expected to act as Duty Manager, as required, supporting the Garden Centre Manager and Plant Area Manager in the day-to-day running of the Store.

Hillier Nurseries Ltd currently have an exciting new vacancy for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our expanding team based at our Head Office in Romsey, Hampshire, working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday.

As a Junior designer you will be working alongside our Graphic Designer and marketing team to assist with the design of retail POS for our garden centres, some B2B brochureware and creating assets for the company’s digital channels e.g. websites, email and social channels, as well as working to digital advertising specs to originate artwork and supply multiple formats to media companies to produce animated, trackable digital banners and MPUs.

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• Relevant graphic design qualifications
• Excellent Adobe Skills, designing for print and digital, both B2C and B2B
• Ability to balance creativity and commerciality
• Have good attention to detail
• Enjoy working as part of a small, hard working and dedicated marketing team
• An interest in gardening and horticulture would be an advantage

The Role will involve:
• Assisting the department in the execution of all marketing materials and campaigns and the production of artwork from brief to supply of artwork files to print houses or to media houses
• Often working to tight deadlines

Job Description
Due to development of our centralised distribution and delivery service, vacancies have arisen for multi drop van drivers to make deliveries to Hillier Garden Centres and customers in the south of England.

The successful applicants will be based in the Newbury area, be flexible; self-motivated, well presented and be able to offer the highest standards of customer service.

The role involves a 2 man team to delivery stock and customer orders in our fleet of 7.5 tonne delivery vehicle. Manual handling will be required to be undertaken with the use of mechanical aides. You will be working to tight deadlines and be responsible for accurate delivery and paperwork.

The successful applicants will be responsible for their vehicle’s general maintenance and cleanliness. You will need to hold a full clean driving licence which allows you to drive up to 7.5 tonnes and ideally have some previous experience of multi drop delivery services.
