Job Description
Hillier Nurseries, a leading UK horticultural nursery stock producer is seeking a dynamic, driven Account Manager for its Tree division to expand its customer base within the landscape contractor and local authority sectors in the UK.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ B2B sales experience within horticulture/agriculture with strong commercial skills as well as financial and business acumen.

You will also have experience of selling into landscape contractors and local authorities, a knowledge of trees, as well as proven experience in securing new customers.

Outstanding customer service is required as is the ability to create and develop customer relationships. Excellent communication, IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your time effectively is essential.

You will be able to demonstrate achievement in meeting and exceeding challenging sales targets through completing quotes and tenders and negotiation to achieve the required level of profitability.

This position is home based and you will ideally live in the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire/Northamptonshire area to ensure easy accessibility to the customer base. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be part of a professional and ambitious team and will be required to attend meetings at head office on a regular basis.

Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Nursery Sales, the Wholesale Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the production planning process using the MRP software and all inventory control. This role is based at our nursery near Romsey, and will involve some travel to our contract grower’s nursery in Wimborne.

To be successful in this role, you will:
• The ideal candidate will have proven experience in production planning, inventory control and MRP with excellent IT skills. Horticultural knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
• You have exemplary attention to detail and are able to perform under pressure with innovative problem solving skills.
• You have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and monitor your own workload. You are resilient, tenacious and adaptable to changing priorities and capable of working in a busy fast-paced environment.
• You will be responsible for communicating data from each stage of the MRP You will be communicating across all levels of the business therefore you must be able to build strong relationships to gain cooperation. You have the confidence to challenge the ‘norm’ whilst cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

We are currently seeking a Stock Controller to work at our busy Bath Garden Centre.

As Stock Controller you will be responsible for all Goods-In activity within that Centre, this includes the compliance of all legislation.

A FLT licence and a good level of IT skills would be an advantage, however training will be given if required.
