Hillier Chairman, Robert Hillier, will be one of the more than 100 portraits of Hampshire people featured at the exhibition

From 26th April to 2nd May 2017, the Winchester Portrait Exhibition at the Great Hall, Winchester, will display photographs of people who have made an impression on the local Hampshire community. The exhibition, by photographer Michael Butters, aims to raise funds for Winchester Cathedral; the PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) at Southampton General Hospital and The Murray Parish Trust #2MillionSteps Appeal.

More than 100 people have been photographed for the exhibition, from wide and varied walks of life, including celebrities, public figures and lesser known faces who have contributed to life in Winchester and Hampshire.

Hillier Chairman, Robert Hiller, will be part of the exhibition. He commented: “The team behind this exhibition have done a terrific job on a very ambitious project. It is great for Hampshire to celebrate so many people who have been part of life there and most importantly, an opportunity to raise money for some really worthwhile causes.”

As well as the exhibition, an accompanying book has been published, which includes the portraits and articles about the portrait subjects and their diverse and fascinating stories.  The book will be on sale during the exhibition and in local shops after it finishes. A silent auction will also run throughout the duration of the exhibition to raise additional funds.
