The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is an enormous part of the Hillier story. We have so many remarkable memories collected from almost 100 years of exhibiting at the show. To celebrate this, in 2017 we included a ‘memory tree’ in our Chelsea garden – a beautiful Davidia involucrata (also known as the Pocket Handkerchief tree). All visitors to the show were invited to take a moment to pause among the bustle of Chelsea, contemplate and share one of their fondest gardening memories in our book and hang special copper tags on the tree. By the end of the show, it warmed our heart to see around 500 copper tags twinkling on the tree – each one representing funny, poignant and precious memories gardening moments. We are very grateful and moved that so many people took the time to share important moments with us. Whether you were able to make it to the show or not, we have gathered all these memories, from both press day and all the public days, into a flip book so you all the opportunity to enjoy them.
